Eastleigh vs Newport Preview and Prediction
The original meeting between these two sides ended in a 1-1 draw, despite Newport’s home and league advantage – James Clarke scoring for the Welsh side and Chris Maguire levelling for Eastleigh.
Newport currently sit 17th in League Two, which is 18 places above their opponents – as Eastleigh take up 11th spot in the National League.
Graham Coughlan’s side have lost just twice in their last 12 fixtures (all competitions) and are currently on a run of five matches without defeat – including a 1-0 win over Doncaster most recently.
In contrast, Richard Hill’s Eastleigh have failed to win in their last four matches and are coming off a 1-0 defeat to Southend on Saturday.
