Former England striker Chris Sutton has delivered his Premier League prediction for Leicester vs Liverpool this evening, backing the ‘relentless’ Reds for victory in a ‘tough night’ for the Foxes.

In the sole Premier League fixture on Monday evening – so much is on the line.

Leicester host Liverpool at the King Power Stadium in a clash that has permutations on both ends of the table.

A loss for the Foxes will leave them on the precipice of relegation, as they sit in 19th – two points from safety with three games to go ahead of tonight’s fixture.

Although unlikely, Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to secure three points to keep their Champions League qualification dream alive.

The Reds have now won six successive matches in the English top-flight. This sees them sit in fifth – four points behind Manchester United and Newcastle.

To qualify for Europe’s premier competition, Liverpool will likely need to win all three of their remaining fixtures. Not only that, but they will also have to hope that the Red Devils or the Magpies drop points in their final three games.

Chris Sutton Leicester vs Liverpool Prediction

Speaking in his BBC Sport column, former Celtic and England striker Chris Sutton delivered his prediction for tonight’s clash.

“Leicester midfielder James Maddison criticised his team’s performance after their defeat by Fulham on Monday. I get that, but he hasn’t been decisive enough himself at times, like his penalty which was saved against Everton recently.” Sutton said.

“The Foxes really need to start doing their talking on the pitch, but I think they are in for a tough night against a Liverpool side who have won six games in a row and have their eyes firmly on a Champions League spot.

“Liverpool are just relentless at the moment, and Leicester leak a lot of goals whoever they play because their defence is so bad.

“It should be an entertaining game because both teams are much better when they come forward, and I also think Dean Smith’s side will score – but Liverpool will score more, and I can only see one outcome.”

Sutton’s Prediction: Leicester 1-3 Liverpool @ 12/1
