Tottenham have a handful of new midfield options to consider if they receive a suitable offer for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this week.
Tottenham Open To Selling Hojbjerg
Spurs have already strengthened their defence and attack with the signings of Radu Dragusin and Timo Werner early in the January window, but the potential departure of Hojbjerg could bring another challenge.
Sources insist that Tottenham are not actively looking to sell Hojbjerg, but there is openness to a deal if the player wishes to leave and the terms are suitable for Spurs; it would have to be a good offer for Spurs to accept, and they don’t want it going right down to the wire.
In Italy, there has been interest from Juventus and Napoli, but other clubs are emerging as potential suitors, and it is expected that Tottenham will be made aware of those in the coming days.
Spurs do not want or need to rush into a decision to sell, but if he is to go, there is the knock-on effect of replacing him to consider.
It is understood that the club are keeping tabs on a number of midfielders around Europe. These include Arthur Vermeeren of Royal Antwerp, Morten Frendrup of Genoa, and Ederson of Atalanta, who is valued slightly higher.
Tottenham have still not tested Chelsea over their resolve over Conor Gallagher, while Adam Wharton of Blackburn remains a figure of interest.
The club must also consider the return of James Maddison, who is back in training and may be available for the squad for their match against Manchester City.
Other Tottenham Transfer Updates
In other news regarding Spurs, talks are still ongoing with Club Brugge over a potential £25 million deal for Antonio Nusa, although an official bid has not yet been made.
Also, having already sold Eric Dier, there is no interest in selling defender Emerson Royal, who has been linked with Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
