Eric Dier says he won’t be moving into Harry Kane’s home in Germany because of the England captain’s busy family life.

Dier Joins Kane At Bayern Munich

Tottenham defender Eric Dier joined Bayern Munich on loan towards the end of last week.

The England international will join the Bundesliga champions on an initial six-month loan deal, with an option for a further year.

Dier, who spent nearly 10 years in north London, had fallen out of favour under manager Ange Postecoglu but now joins former Spurs teammate Harry Kane in Munich.

On the move, Dier, who turns 30 today, said “This move is a dream come true for me, because as a child you want to play for a club like Bayern one day. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and has an incredible history.”

Why Will Dier Not Stay At Kane’s House?

Eric Dier and Harry Kane have been friends since the defender joined Spurs in 2014, but Dier has admitted that he won’t be staying at Kane’s house in Germany because of the striker’s “busy” family life.

He said: “I don’t know if he has any space there. I have not been there yet but he has invited me so I will go there for sure.

“But I don’t think I will stay there. He has a lot of kids so I know it is very busy. I don’t want to add to that work.”

Following his move to Bayern, Dier was ridiculed for seemingly putting on a German accent in a recent video clip.

He added: “I need some golf lessons and German lessons I need, for sure. I will be doing everything to learn the language, it is very important for me.

“It has been fantastic since I arrived, I felt the history, and the warmth of the family here which feels special.”
