Sheffield United conceded a late goal away at Nottingham Forest as they lost 2-1. Sheffield United relegation odds are now 2/5.

The Blades travelled to the City Ground hoping to get their season started with a win.

They didn’t get off to the best start as Taiwo Awoniyi scored within the first three minutes to put the hosts ahead.

New signing Gustavo Hamer equalised for Sheffield United in the second half. However, they couldn’t hold on as Chris Wood scored in the 89th minute to win the game for Forest.

The victory for Steve Cooper’s team means it’s four wins in a row at home in the Premier League since 1996.

Sheffield United Relegation Odds: Will The Blades Go Straight Back Down?

Sheffield United are second favourites to go down this season. They’re priced at 2/5 to go down, with Luton Town favourites at 3/10.

Given their first two outings, it looks like Sheffield United are in for a tough season. Their transfer business hasn’t done them any favours either. Iliman Ndiaye and Sander Berge both left the club over the summer, leaving a big void in their team. Losing those two didn’t do any favours for Sheffield United relegation odds.

They’ll need to pick up some points in quickly if they want to make sure they don’t have an impossible task in the second half of the season.
