Rennes vs AC Milan Preview & Prediction
Unfortunately for Rennes they are all but out of the Europa League already, after AC Milan handed them a 3-0 defeat at the San Siro in the first leg.
A brace from former Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek was followed by a Rafael Leao strike early in the second half, which sealed a comfortable advantage for the Serie A side coming into the second game.
With a comfortable advantage already to their name this week Milan may start a lineup reduced in strength, but we think even then the Italians have too much fire power for their opponents.
Rennes have a huge mountain to climb in the home leg on Thursday, but they certainly can’t be ruled out yet with anything possible in their home tie.

Milan’s star striker failed to get on the scoresheet last week, but we are backing Olivier Giroud to get back on track in the Europa League with a goal on Thursday afternoon.
Giroud has 15 Europa League goals to his name through his career, but the Frenchman is still yet to bag his first in Italy after his side were knocked down from the Champions League during the group stage.
Although Milan are already all but through to the next round of the competition following a 3-0 win in the first leg, Giroud should still start and play an important role when he visits his home nation and 15/8 is a great price for the forward to score.
