Trainer Syd Hosie is worth following blindly and had we backed all his runners to date we’d have found nine winners from our 88 bets (10.2% strike rate) and made a profit of £102.33 to the usual £1 level stake at SP. We can improve that strike rate to 16.7% and the profit to £138.00 by only backing his runners returned to the track within four weeks of their latest start. HARLEM SOUL, twice successful over course and distance in December, disappointed when dropped back to 2m on his last start 27 days ago but may bounce back to form now back up to this 2m4f trip.
MUSSELBURGH 4.25
LASTIN’ MEMORIES (system – sire Overbury, chasers at Musselburgh )
Progeny of the sire Overbury have an excellent record over fences at Musselburgh, winning seven of their 32 races for a profit of £27.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. The Sandy Forster-trained LASTIN’ MEMORIES has shown very little recently but could be worth chancing to small stakes on his first visit to the Scottish venue.

CHOISYA (System – Simon and Ed Crisford, handicap debutants)
Simon and Ed Crisford started their training partnership in 2020 and they do very well with their handicap debutants since sharing the licence, scoring with 32 of the 116 qualifiers (27.6% strike-rate) for a profit of £22.45 to a £1 level stake at SP. CHOISYA, narrowly denied in a Lingfield novice last time has sound claims of going one place better on her debut in handicap company.
