Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew struck with Kempton winner AMIWITHANI on Monday and has two recommended bets/trades at Leicester and Southwell on Tuesday, January 23rd. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

LEICESTER 1.35

Since the beginning of 2021, Dan Skelton has run 18 chase debutants under top weight in a handicap and all 18 were beaten, often at short prices. Irish point winner IORENS has top weight of 12-00 to carry and the mare, yet to score from six starts under rules (twice when a short-priced favourite), can be taken on again. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market. Mel Rowley’s handicapper are having a fine season and her MARTALMIX’JAC looks the best option for fixed odds punters now that Alex Edwards takes over from an amateur rider.

Recommendation: Oppose IORENS in Leicester 1.35

SOUTHWELL 8.30

Ewan Whillans has his string in good form, scoring with 8-1 shot Zephlyn, a rare all-the-way winner over the 2m trip at Newcastle last night, and DESERT MASTER, who struck at odds of 22-1 at Newcastle last week. The six-year-old, who pulled up in a Catterick novice hurdle on his penultimate start, clearly appreciated the return to the Flat that day and it’s interesting to note that his previous wins came in pairs. He broke his duck at Nottingham in July 2021 and followed up Hamilton, then pulled off another July/August double in 2022. He hasn’t had many opportunities on the all-weather, has a good strike-rate for one who plies his trade at Class 6 level and can be bought in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or backed in the fixed odds betting.

Recommendation: Back DESERT MASTER in Southwell 8.30
