Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

There’s a feast of top-class racing action on Saturday (September 9th) and Andrew has four recommended bets/trades at Ascot, Kempton and Leopardstown. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

KEMPTON 2.10

FIRST VIEW, winner of the London Mile Series Final 12 months ago, can repeat the dose. The Saeed Bin Suroor-trained six-year-old loves Kempton, recording form figures of 11212 (3-5), with the defeats by just a head and half a length. He’s three from three over course and distance when encountering a maximum field of 14 runners and, given the way the track was riding last night, his prominent running style will again be an asset. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back FIRST VIEW in Kempton 2.10

ASCOT 2.35

POPMASTER has been crabbed in some quarters for his 0-6 record over today’s 7f trip, but he’s finished second in two of them, once by just a short head, and he was keeping on well when 12th of 25 in the International Stakes over course and distance, doing fourth best of those to race on the unfavorued far side. He was a place ahead of SPANGLED MAC (also poorly drawn) that day and the pair went on to finish one-two at Newbury in a fast time, with Spangled Mac coming out on top this time. Popmaster lande the 6f handicap on this two-day card a couple of years ago and won’t have an issue with the fast ground, having finished a 16-1 second of 26 in the 2021 Wokingham the last time he ran here on officially good to firm ground. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back POPMASTER in Ascot 2.35

KEMPTON 3.25

Experience counts in the Group 3 Sirenia Stakes, with those horses who had raced just once, twice or who were making their debuts failing to register a win from 25 qualifiers since 2006 (the expected number of winners, based on their prices, was 4.4). Current favourite EBEN SHADDAD scored impressively on his recent debut at Newmarket, but lack of experience could catch him out now that he steps up in class and I’m happy to oppose him. In the same period, Sirenia Stakes runners who had raced three or four times before were 11 from 57 for a profit of £34.50 (expected winners only 6.02). There are four qualifiers – ARRAY, ASADNA, GOLDEN TRICK and GOVERNMENT CALL, with the first-named – a son of No Nay Never – the one most likely to cope with the switch to Kempton’s Polytrack on breeding. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back ARRAY in Kempton 3.25

LEOPARDSTON 5.40

British raiders have a great recent record in the “Sovereign Path” Premier Handicap, landing five of the last ten renewals despite only having a handful of runners each year. Charlie & Mark Johnston won this with 18-1 chance I’m A Gamble last year and, this century, backing all the yard’s runners in Irish handicappers would have found ten winners from 34 bets for a profit of £28.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. Five of the beaten horses also made the frame and a buy of URBAN SPRAWL in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market could pay dividends.

Recommendation: Back URBAN SPRAWL in Leopardstown 5.40
