GLENLOE arrives in this 3m1f handicap chase with recent form figures of UPP but he’s had excuses – unseating at the first at Perth, pulling up after a slipped saddle at Cork and then having the stuffing knocked out of him by an early mistake when 25-1 for a 50,000euros race at Navan. He clocked a fast time when fourth over 3m7f here in the spring and he has completed the course in all six starts here (three over fences). He’s hardly prolific but, with the slow ground in his favour, he can make the frame. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back him each-way in the fixed odds betting.

CHELMSFORD 7.30
ALAFDHAL landed a gamble in a 6f handicap at Chelmsford on his penultimate start (11-8 from 5-2), having done too much too soon when fifth at Kempton the time before. He followed up over the same course and distance a week later despite a poor draw in stall 10 of 11 and can complete his hat-trick from the plum draw in stall 1.
