Ffos Las bumper winners have done exceptionally well when bidding to follow up on their next start. L’ASTROBOY caused a surprise when scoring at 25-1 in a bumper on his debut at the Welsh venue in February and is taken to maintain his 100% record on his return.

Those who ran over hurdles last time, as HEY FRANKIE did, were ten from 49 for a profit of £32.75. He went close with 28-1 shot Thor De Cerisy on this angle at Lingfield yesterday.

Progeny of the sire Dawn Approach have a 12 from 46 record when racing over 1m4f on the all-weather and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £42.30 to the usual £1 level stake at SP. EARLY STRIKE was headed in the final strides, beaten a head by EL C Wells over course and distance on his latest start and can go one place better this evening.
