Gabriel Martinelli has committed his long-term future to Arsenal after penning a new contract with the Gunners.

Martinelli has been in fine form this campaign, having netted seven times in 27 appearances in all competitions.

The forward has been rewarded for his form, signing a new long-term deal with Arsenal.

Martinelli will now remain at the Emirates until the summer of 2027 after extending his stay with Mikel Arteta’s side by penning a four-and-a-half year contract.

Martinelli is now into his fourth season in north London and has improved and developed each year under Arteta.

He recently featured for the Brazil national team at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, exiting in the quarter-final.

Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar had his say on the forward’s contract extension.

“It’s great that Gabi has signed a new contract with us,” Edu said. “The foundations of our squad continue to be built on young talent, so it’s great that Gabi has signed a new contract.

“Gabi is still just 21, and a player with big ability and personality. He is an important part of our future and we’re delighted that we have agreed a new contract.”

Gunners boss Arteta added: “We’re delighted Gabi has signed a new long-term contract. Our supporters see his quality and energy every single time he puts on the shirt and he’s the same every day in training, with his hard work and positive values.

“Gabi is still very young, so we know there’s still much more to come from him and it’s great that we’ll be on this journey together. We’re now excited to continue to develop his huge talent and look forward to seeing him perform with Arsenal in the years to come.”

Martinelli upon signing his new deal said: “I love everything about Arsenal. I wanted to stay. Arsenal supporters made me feel like one of them. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.”

The Gunners remain at the helm of the Premier League table with a five point advantage, with 19 games to go.

Premier League betting sites have Arsenal priced at around 8/11 to lift the title at the end of the season.
