Newcastle To Win & Barnes To Score Anytime

Newcastle vs Bournemouth Bet Builder: Magpies To Win & Barnes To Score Anytime

Newcastle vs Bournemouth Preview & Prediction (15:00 KO)

After a torrid spell of form throughout December, Newcastle have bounced back to form and welcome Bournemouth to St. James’ Park in the Premier League off the back of a four game unbeaten streak.

A 2-0 win over Fulham in the FA Cup kickstarted this run of form, followed by an impressive 3-1 triumph over Aston Villa, a 2-2 draw against Luton, and a 3-2 win against relegation battlers Nottingham Forest last time out.

Eddie Howe’s side find themselves occupying seventh place in the Premier League table heading into the gameweek, five points adrift of sixth place Manchester United, 10 points behind Aston Villa, and 11 points away from the Champions League qualification positions.

Bournemouth have done the opposite to the Magpies, as they are now without a win in five consecutive English top flight matches after going seven games unbeaten between November and December. Coincidentally, a 2-0 victory over Newcastle at the Vitality launched that impressive seven game streak.

Andoni Iraola’s side were well beaten 3-1 by Fulham in their last game, following on from 1-1 draws against Nottingham Forest and West Ham, with 4-0 and 3-1 losses to Liverpool and Tottenham coming prior to that.

Based on recent form, we at SportsLens can’t see past anything other than a victory for the Magpies on Saturday afternoon. With the likes of Miguel Almiron, Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes expected to lead the attack, we’re backing the hosts to triumph via a 3-1 scoreline.

Prediction: Newcastle 3-1 Bournemouth

Newcastle vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

  • Newcastle To Win @ 5/6
  • Harvey Barnes To Score Anytime @ 21/10
  • Combined Bet Builder Odds @ 10/3

Newcastle vs Bournemouth Betting Tip 1: Newcastle To Win @ 5/6

Our first tip for your Saturday afternoon Newcastle vs Bournemouth Premier League bet builder is to back the Magpies to reign victorious on home turf, priced by leading UK betting sites at 5/6.

Recent form points towards a win for the home side, as previously revealed, with Newcastle unbeaten in four across all competitions while the Cherries are winless in five – without a league victory since the turn of the year.

Previous meetings between the pair also back this tip, despite Bournemouth winning the reverse fixture. Of their last eight clashes across all competitions, Newcastle have won four, three have ended in draws, and just one game has finished in favour of the south coast club.

Newcastle vs Bournemouth Betting Tip 2: Harvey Barnes To Score Anytime @ 21/10

Having joined from Leicester City in the summer, Barnes was tipped to hit the ground running on Tyneside, but it hasn’t quite worked out like that.

Despite scoring and assisting on his debut, the 26-year-old went almost five months before adding a second to his goalscoring tally. This is because he suffered a significant injury just six games into the league campaign.

Barnes has since returned to action under Howe in the Premier League, and as he did on his debut back in August – he netted 10 minutes into his return against Luton two weeks back.

With Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson condemned to the sidelines through injury – we expect Barnes to be afforded his first start since September on Saturday, and are backing him to score at anytime against the out-of-form Cherries at a price of 21/10.
