Usman has been in the UFC for over seven years, making his debut back in December 2015 against Leon Edwards. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ won by unanimous decision, the first of three epic fights with the English MMA star and reigning UFC Welterweight Champion.
Usman won the UFC Welterweight Title at the first attempt, defeating the previously long-reigning champion Tyron Woodley with ease. For his crowning night, Usman was paid a hefty sum of $380,000. Since then, the 36-year-old has earned seven $500k+ purses in his UFC career.
