England saw off Scotland in an electric Hampden Park. England Euro 2024 winner odds now 5/1 with the tournament edging closer.

Hampden Park was alive as England travelled to Scotland for a “friendly” to mark 150 years of the fixture. The atmosphere before the game was anything but friendly. The Scottish fans made sure the English players knew they were in for a game North of the border.

Scotland started well. Pressing England trying to stop them from playing, but this seemed to inspire the England team.

The attacking four of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden caused problems for Scotland all during the first half.

It was Bellingham’s pass to Rashford that split open the defence allowing Walker to smash the ball across the box and Foden tapped it home.

Not finished there, Bellingham teased the Scottish defender, laid the ball off, floated into the middle and smashed home after a mistake from Andy Robertson.

Scotland regrouped in the second half and finally started to cause England problems. Their goal came through Robertson attacking down the right and Harry Maguire, a half-time sub, putting the ball into his own net.

Bellingham, who is just 20-years-old, had one more moment of magic to show the world. He slid the ball through to Harry Kane who slotted home the ball to silence Hampden and kill the game.

The standout player was of course Bellingham. However, Lewis Dunk, getting just his second cap, showed his class at the back.

The result puts England Euro 2024 Winners Odds at shorter odds as well. Even though it was just a friendly, Scotland are a team in good form at the minute. The win shows England can handle the pressure and take on in form teams.
