Cheltenham November Meeting Trends: Day Three Stats To Find The Sunday ITV Racing Winners

The 2023 Cheltenham November Meeting draws to a close on Sunday (19th Nov) with another decent afternoon of action and to help narrow down your search for the winners, here at SportsLens we’ve highlighted the main big race trends and stats for each of the LIVE ITV races.

This Sunday’s Cheltenham November Meeting sees another FOUR LIVE ITV races that run from 1:45pm to 3:30pm

The Return Of Jonbon In The Shloer Chase

At 2:55pm, the Shloer Chase is one of the features as we see the return of Jonbon, who will be a warm order to come back with a bang but will face former Arkle winner Edwardstone and the two-time winner of this race Nube Negra so, despite his short odds, still has the makings of a decent affair.

Jonbon’s trainer Nicky Henderson has won the race twice in the past – with the most recent with his classy Sprinter Sacre in 2015.

Is Owner Paul Byrne Plotting Another Handicap ‘Good Thing’?

The Greatwood Hurdle is at 3:30pm and all the pre-race money has been for the Willie Mullins-trained Onlyamatteroftime. This 7 year-old is also owned by Paul Byrne, who won this prize in 2020 with The Shunter and with only 10-3 to carry could be thrown in at the weights. Have they unearthed another handicap ‘good thing‘?

It’s also a race the Dan Skelton yard like to target, with two wins since 2016, and they run L’Eau Du Sud and Knickerbockerglory – both will have their supporters too.

However, the Greatwood Hurdle trends tell us that 71% of the last 21 winners were aged 4 or 5, while there’s only been one winner aged 8 or older since 1987 – the popular grey Rooster Booster in 2002.

A recent run, a top two finish, having won no more than four time before and previous course form are all pluses to look for.

It’s also interesting that, as well as the age stat against the 7 year-old Mullins favourite Onlyamatteroftime. It’s also not been a great race for the market leader, with just two winning in the last 21.

See below the best Cheltenham trends and stats for each of the four LIVE ITV races – use these to whittle down the runners and find the best horse profiles based on previous winners.
