Michael Olise is a target for Chelsea this summer. However, Roy Hodgson says they’ve ‘no desire’ to sell their star man.

Olise impressed last season for Crystal Palace, and he’s now attracting interest from other Premier League teams.

One team who has stepped up their interest in the Frenchmen is Chelsea. It’s been suggested the club have agreed personal terms with Olise.

Although they’ve agreed personal terms, they still need to agree a deal with Crystal Palace. They had their initial offer of £26million rejected. It’s rumoured there’s a £35million release clause in his contract. That won’t be a figure that puts off big spending Chelsea.

Crystal Palace are keen to keep hold of their young talent. Olise recorded 11 league assists, only bettered by Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah and Leandro Trossard.

Speaking about losing the likes of Olise, Roy Hodgson said:

“It would be a bitter blow now if we had to start the season with other of our top players being tempted away from us, or other clubs coming in and persuading Crystal Palace to sell them.

“There is no desire to sell any of those players, and we cannot avoid speculation that other clubs will be interested in players of that quality.”
