BBC and Channel 4 had mainly shared the best of the UK horse racing action. However, this all changed in January 2016, when C4 lost their horse racing rights after 32 years to ITV.
The ITV racing coverage began a year later in January 2017
C4 broadcast it’s final day of horse racing on December 27th 2016 – showing racing from Kempton and the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow.
