The first race for the Wednesday Jason Weaver York Ebor Festival tips sees him back Kuwait City each-way in the 1:50pm for trainer John Butler and jockey James Sullivan. He is priced as a huge outsider at odds of 16/1 with the best horse racing betting sites.
Kuwait City slots in here at the bottom of the handicap and already has some course and distance form to his name. The time of Cogitate’s victory 33 days ago wasn’t the quickest of the two divisions run on that day but he was a very dominant victor with the promise of much more to come. He’s a big, rangy, powerful individual and the Charles Hills team have won this race recently with Dutch Connection and Phoenix Of Spain. They know what’s required.

Next up for ‘The Weaver Shark’ is Continuous in the Great Voltigeur Stakes for trainer Aidan O’Brien. Ryan Moore is given the ride here on the impressive 3-year-old who is also the 9/4 second favourite here behind the Gosden runner with Frankie Dettori on board, Gregory.
Continuous ran pretty well at York earlier on in the campaign over a slightly shorter trip but he was put in his place last time by King Of Steel at Royal Ascot. Gregory, the likely favourite, is dropping back down in distance and may well give Continuous something to aim at inside the final quarter mile.

Grappa Nonino has taken a while to look like the finished article over both disciplines of hurdles and the Flat. The expert moulding from his handler Dermot Weld saw him win pretty convincingly last time, back home at the Curragh. He now steps up in trip to two miles which looks guaranteed to suit. This big galloper will love the York venue.
