Andrew turns his attention to the all-weather with four picks at Lingfield, Dundalk and Newcastle on Friday, March 31st. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

LINGFIELD 1.50

LASHES (system – Phil McEntee switchers, all-weather handicaps, recent run)

Phil McEntee does well in all-weather handicaps at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, especially with those who’d had the benefit of a recent outing (within four weeks). He’s won with ten of the 47 qualifiers for a profit of £35.25 to a £1 level stake at SP and LASHES could go well at likely big odds on her first start since leaving Ireland.

DUNDALK 5.30

LIGHTENING ARMY (system – January foals, newcomers, running in early-season 2yo races)

Two-year-old newcomers who were foaled in January have an advantage over their younger contemporaries in early-season races and had we bet them all in March/April, since the beginning of 2016, we’d have won 23 of our 141 bets (16.3%) and made a profit of £39.62 to a £1 level stake at SP. Ignoring the geldings increases the profit to £50.62. There are three qualifiers in this 5f contest with LIGHTENING ARMY the pick. His owners, Amo Racing, do exceptionally well with newcomers.

NEWCASTLE 6.50

FOREVER PORUD (system – James Horton, not racecourse debut)

James Horton hasn’t got the greatest record with racecourse debutants but had we backed all his runners who were having their second or subsequent career start we’d have won 19 of our 88 bets (21.6% strike-rate) and made a profit of £36.71 to a £1 level stake at SP. In handicaps only the score is 12 from 46 for a profit of £42.88. FOREVER PROUD isn’t running in a handicap but she’s shown promise on Tapeta previously and might be worth a small each-way interest on her reappearance.

NEWCASTLE 7.50

VIVA VOCE (system – David Barron, Intense Focus progeny)

David Barron has a cracking record with progeny of the sire Intense Focus, scoring with 15 of the 61 runners for a profit of ÂŁ29.79 to a ÂŁ1 level stake at SP. VIVA VOCE won well at Southwell last time and can follow up.
