Andrew has already fired in a 16-1 winner this week and he has three picks at Ffos Las and Warwick on Wednesday, March 22nd. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
FFOS LAS 1.30
BANNOW BAY BOY (system – Tom Lacey, second run in a handicap hurdle)
Tom Lacey has a fine record with runners having their first start in handicap hurdle company and he also does well with those having a second attempt. Since the spring of 2016, he’s won with 16 of the 75 qualifiers (21.3% strike-rate) for a profit of £26.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who finished second or third on their latest outing were six from 17 (35.3%, +£20.50). BANNOW BAY BOY, a 9-1 third at Hereford when he made his handicap hurdle debut in late January, can go two places better.
WARWICK 2.25
HORIZON D’AINAY (system – Dan Skelton, first-time cheekpieces, finished fifth or worse last time out)
Like his mentor Paul Nicholls, Dan Skelton has a good record when using first-time cheekpieces, especially on a horse who finished out of the frame on its latest outing. He’s won with 18 of the 81 qualifiers (22.22% strike-rate) for a profit of £60.13 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 11.62). HORIZON D’AINAY disappointed over course and distance on New Year’s Eve but the headgear could make the difference this time.
FFOS LAST 3.15
BEST TRITION (system – Sean Bowen, Ffos Las chases)
Sean Bowen has a solid record over fences at Ffos Las, scoring on 39 of his 133 mounts (29.3% strike-rate) for a profit of £67.74 to a £1 level stake at SP. BEST TRITION was the first mover for this 3m handicap chase when the betting opened on Tuesday and Olly Murphy’s eight-year-old scored gamely on heavy ground over course and distance on his penultimate start. He was only seventh at Southwell next time but the sharp track and officially good going were put forward as excuses.
