Nicky Henderson With Seven Runners On Cheltenham Day 1
Nicky Henderson has been the top trainer at the Cheltenham Festivals 9 times in the past. He won his first ‘Top Trainer’ crown back in 1985 for the first time and has won it most recently in 2010 & 2012 respectively. The English racing trainer will be hoping to replicate this form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
The 72-year-old has 72 winners to his name in the Cheltenham Festival over the years. This includes two Gold Cups, eight Champions Hurdles, seven Triumph Hurdles and five Supreme Novices’ Hurdles to name but a few.

The English trainer believes hie has a few excellent chances to win some races on Day 1 such as Constitution Hill in the Champions Hurdle and Jonbon in the Arkle Novices’ Chase. However, he certainly has a few other big chances on Day 1 at Cheltenham this year to get off to a flying start.
