The 2023 Welsh Grand National was won by the Gary Moore-trained Nassalam, who returned as the 9/2 joint-favourite.

This 6 year-old had won the Welsh National trial at Chepstow earlier in the season and in ground that was soft bolted up by a staggering 34 lengths under jockey Caoilin Quinn.

Iron Bridge and the 2021 winner Iwilldoit were second and third, with Not Sure back in fourth and Complete Unknown in fifth. These were the only five horses to finish the race.
