With Serie A’s hottest property Victor Osimhen publicly declaring his desire to play in the Premier League in the near future, a host of English clubs have been put on alert with the summer window fast approaching. If fresh reports are to be believed, it is worth taking a look at the latest Victor Osimhen Arsenal odds, with the Nigerian thought to be a key target for Gunners come the end of the season.
Napoli’s rampant forward line has been expertly spearheaded by Victor Osimhen this season – of their 58 goals scored in Serie A, he accounts for 36%.
Pacey, powerful and plucky when it comes to forcing chances, the 24-year-old has seen his stock increase immeasurably this term having already outscored any of his previous seasons is Ligue 1 and Serie A, with several months still left to add to his tally.
Speaking after Napoli, who are 15 points clear in Italy, fell to a surprising 1-0 defeat against Lazio last time out, he said: “I’m working so hard to make sure that I achieve my dream of playing in the Premier League some day but like I said, it’s a process and I just want to keep on this momentum and continue to do well.”

This has of course kicked the rumour mill into overdrive, with several clubs in England appearing to be in need of a truly world-class target man.
Chelsea, whose struggles in front of goal see them all the way down in 10th place in the Premier League, are perhaps the most desperate for an injection of striking prowess. The Blues have only managed to score 24 goals in 25 matches which sees them level with rock-bottom Bournemouth, so expect Todd Boehly to dig out his bottomless cheque book in order to try and pry him away this summer.
Elsewhere, Manchester United are also relatively thin on the ground when it comes to prolific strikers, with winger Marcus Rashford providing the majority of their goals this season. Wout Weghorst is nowhere near the calibre of Osimhen, and the addition of a 20+ goal-a-season striker may go some way to helping Erik Ten Hag boost United’s revival.
The Red Devils are current favourites for his signature with the proposed mega-money takeover of the club imminent, but fresh reports this morning indicate that Premier League frontrunners Arsenal could make an audacious move.
It is no secret that the Gunners have managed to save hundreds of millions by picking up shrewd signings in recent windows, most notably opting for Jorginho and Leandro Trossard in January for a combined fee of £37m, as opposed to their initial key targets of Mykhailo Mudryk and Moises Caicedo, who would have set them back almost £200m.
It would therefore seem logical that sporting director Edu and the rest of the board are sitting on a pile of cash, ready for the summer window. Gabriel Jesus has proven to be a hugely effective signing bar the unfortunate injury, but perhaps not in the way that fans expected.
His ability to link-up the play between the midfield and the forwards has been his most redeeming quality, but his goalscoring exploits aren’t exactly prolific.
Although Arsenal’s share of goals is split to great effect between several in-form players at this moment in time, any title challenger can benefit from a player like Osimhen, who could provide the Gunners with a flurry of goals and further consolidate their emergence as legitimate contenders.
