Union Saint-Gilloise vs Liverpool Preview & Prediction
Liverpool have already progressed to the next stage of the Europa League, after accumulating 12 points from the opening five matches.
The Reds have also been on fire in the Premier League, sitting top of the table and losing just one match all season – which came in a 2-1 defeat to Spurs back in September.
Jurgen Klopp’s side clinched a 4-0 victory in their last European tie, as they swept LASK aside at Anfield in Matchday Five.
Union Saint-Gilloise are also top of their respective league, boasting a six-point lead over Anderlecht and are still within a chance of progressing in Europe.
The Belgian side are currently third in Group E, three-points behind Toulouse in second and as USG/Toulouse drew twice during the campaign – it could go down to Goal Difference.
USG currently have a -4 GD, which is inferior to Toulouse’s -2, if the teams are level on points and goal difference come the end of the night then it will come down to goals scored.
However, we expect Liverpool to kill any hopes that USG have of progressing to the next round with a dominant display in Belgium.
