Chelsea are hoping to offload Trevoh Chalobah in the January transfer window with the academy graduate seeking regular first-team football.

Trevoh Chalobah Likely To Leave In January

The 24-year-old was subject to plenty of interest in the summer transfer window with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich known to have enquired about a deal.

Nottingham Forest also tried to sign Chalobah on deadline day, but ran out of time despite having a £25 million bid accepted by Chelsea.

Chalobah also was not keen on the move to the East Midlands and decided he wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge to try and fight for a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but it yet to feature so far this season.

He is increasingly likely to leave at the next possible time, so Forest and Bayern could both come back in for him in the winter transfer window.

Munich boss and former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is a big fan of Chalobah, and still wants to bring the versatile defender to the Allianz Arena.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on X, formerly known as Twitter that he will be allowed to leave in January.

Since making his Blues debut in 2021, Chalobah has made 63 appearances across all competitions, contributing four goals in that time.

However, having been involved in the first team setup in the past couple of seasons, he now finds himself behind the likes of Axel Disasi, Levi Colwill, Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile in the pecking order.

Chalobah has had injury issues in recent weeks, but is likely to struggle to force his way into the side even when he is fully recovered.
