In the latest Manchester United transfer news, Red Devils midfielder Fred has reportedly emerged as a target for Fulham with Erik ten Hag considering parting ways with the Brazilian.

Marco Silva’s Fulham are reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester United midfielder Fred.

Silva was filmed talking to Fred outside Old Trafford after the Cottagers’ clash against United, sending fans into a frenzy linking the midfielder with a move to the English capital.

And now, the Manchester Evening News are reporting that intermediaries have proposed a possible move for the midfielder to Craven Cottage, as United search for younger midfield talent.

Fred, now 30, is approaching the final year of his contract with the Red Devils. He, as well as Scott McTominay have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford in recent months, with Ten Hag reportedly looking to reinvigorate his midfield in the summer.

Fulham have several Portuguese speakers in their squad, and signed Brazilian duo Andreas Pereira and Willian in the past season.

Fred has appeared in 55 matches for Manchester United this term, with 35 coming in the Premier League.

Despite this, he has started just 22 matches – his lowest amount since his debut campaign with the club.

He has scored six goals, as well as assisting six goals in all competitions under Ten Hag this term.

Perhaps his most notable moment of the season came against Barcelona in the Europa League play-off – where he levelled the aggregate score, before Antony found the winner to send the Red Devils to the last-16 of the competition.
