According to UK betting sites, Manchester United are in contention to sign Brentford goalkeeper, David Raya, as he looks to leave the Bees this summer.

Brentford have shocked the Premier League with their performances this season, as Thomas Frank’s side are on track to finish ninth – a club record.

Victories over, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham have cemented the Bees’ place in the top-half of the Premier League.

However, star player, Ivan Toney, has received an eight-month ban for allegedly making over 200 betting breaches over recent years.

Prior to this ban, the England international had scored 20 Premier League goals and was reportedly being monitored by a host of Premier League sides.

Another player that has caught they eye this season is Spanish shot-stopper, David Raya. The Brentford keeper has been superb throughout the campaign and has attracted interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils sealed Champions League qualification last night, as they swept Chelsea aside with a comfortable 4-1 victory.

Long-time servant, David De Gea, clinched the Golden Glove after United’s 1-0 win over Bournemouth, however the Spaniard has been under a lot of scrutiny this year.

A combination of goalkeeping errors and poor distrubution has seen United fans grow frustrated with the 34-year-old and signing a goalkeeper could be on the cards this summer.

United are not the only club that are reportedly keen on signing Raya, as Spurs are on the hunt for a new number one as Hugo Lloris looks set to leave side from north London this summer.

The Spanish international is under contract with the Bees for another season meaning any potential transfer would cost up to £45m.

Erik ten Hag’s side are also keeping tabs on Porto shot-stopper, Diogo Costa, who has impressed during his time in Liga Nos and was a key player for Portugal in the 2022 World Cup.
