The first real chance of the tie came to Harry Kane in the Toffees box. The England captain’s deflected effort almost broke the deadlock, but for a goal line clearance from Michael Keane to keep the scores level.
A lively remainder to the first-half, but neither side could take advantage of the opportunities handed to them.
Everton came out of the blocks flying in the second-half, however.
Idrissa Gana Gueye stole the ball from Eric Dier and rushed towards the Tottenham box, but with options left and right, the midfielder opted to shoot. The decision turned out to be a poor one, as his effort flew clear of the crossbar with Demarai Gray screaming in frustration over to his left.

Any hopes Sean Dyche had of securing any points were shattered just shy of the hour mark.
A moment of absolute madness from Abdoulaye Doucoure saw the Frenchman red carded for putting his hand in Kane’s face following an altercation.

Less than 10 minutes later, Kane was in the action once more – opening the scoring from the penalty spot.
A clumsy challenge from Keane saw Cristian Romero go down in the box, leaving David Coote no option but to hand Spurs a penalty, which Kane converted coolly into the bottom left-hand corner.

Second-half substitute Lucas Moura levelled the scoring in red cards after 87 minutes. A terrible challenge from the Brazilian on Keane left Coote with no choice, once more, but to get his red card out.
It felt as though it was all over, but on the stroke of 90 minutes, Keane smashed an absolute thunderbolt past Hugo Lloris to equalise.

Spurs couldn’t fashion a winner in added time, with Everton securing a mighty point in their relegation battle.
