Liverpool fan Jonathan Morley has reacted to his side’s Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea, crediting the club’s academy graduates for the win.

Despite heading into the game with 11 first-team players out through injury, Liverpool picked up their first trophy of the season after beating Chelsea 1-0.
With both teams failing to score in the allotted 90 minutes, despite clearcut chances for both sides, the final went to extra time.
As the game petered out and looked increasingly likely to head to penalties, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk scored in the 118th minute to win the game in dramatic fashion for the Merseyside club.
Liverpool were strong favourites among football betting sites to win the final, but considering Jurgen Klopp’s side featured 7 academy graduates throughout the match makes their achievement even greater.
On his academy graduates’ impact in the game, Klopp said: “What we see here today is exceptional. We might never see it again. These things don’t happen in football. I got told there’s an English phrase – you don’t win trophies with kids. I didn’t know that.”

Jonathan Morely Reacts To Liverpool’s Carabao Cup Win Over Chelsea
TikTok star Jonathan Morley was buzzing following his side’s Carabao Cup victory and gave plenty of credit to Liverpool’s academy graduates for the win.
Speaking on his TikTok channel, Morley said: “This team. This f***ing team. So much against us today and we still f***ing pulled through. Van Dijk robbed of his moment in that second half and he still f***ing has it. Unbelievable.
“It’s just incredible. The amount of players who played today that wouldn’t have without those injuries and did their job so well. Even somebody like Caoimhin Kelleher as an Irishman, unbelievable today.
“I just couldn’t be more proud of this team. I f***ing love this club and please God that this is the first of a few [trophies] this season.”
