3.00 Newbury: CAPTAIN TEAGUE (NAP) – Third in the Champion Bumper last season and won on hurdles debut at Chepstow despite not jumping the best. Beaten last time at Cheltenham in a better race but Templegate still feels that was a solid run and would not have to improve much to figure. Also hails the powerful Paul Nicholls yard that have won this race for the last three years.
1:15 Newbury: MARTATOR (NB) – Templegate’s second best bet on the day is Martator, who hails from the powerful Venetia Williams yard that have their horses in tip-top form. This 6 year-old was a fair second at Newbury last time out and the yard have won this race twice since 2020.
