- 2.30 Kempton: ALLAHO
Ruby Walsh Tips from Kempton, Aintree and Leopardstown
Kempton Tips, Including King George Best Bet
- 1:20 Kempton: IL EST FRANCAIS
French runner that has gone into many a notebook – including Ruby Walsh’s. This 5 year-old chaser has won 5 of his 6 career starts and was super-impressive in winning at Auteuil last month. In a race that’s cut up expected to have Hermes Allen to beat.
- 1.55 Kempton: CONSTITUTION HILL
It will be a bigger shock than grandma not falling asleep after the Xmas Dinner if the Nicky Henderson-trained superstar hurdler can’t win this. He’s rated a full 30lbs higher than Sceau Royal and 26lbs higher than Rubaud. The Nicky Henderson runner took this by 17 lengths last year and really on the ratings it could be double that. Next stop the Champion Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Where Constitution Hill is already as short 2/5 with the best UK betting sites.
- 2.30 Kempton (King George VI Chase): ALLAHO
Ruby feels that Kempton is a jumpers track with the horses needing to attack their fences and this is exactly what Allaho does. Expected to be well-suited by the course, despite his being his first run at the track. The highest-rated in the race too and showed he retains all his ability when winning at Clonmel last time after a big break. Walsh expects Allaho to give trainer Willie Mullins his third win in the race.
Aintree Tips
- 1:05 Aintree: CANNOCK PARK
Big price fancy for Ruby Walsh. More needed in this higher grade but has done little wrong in winning his last two at Bangor and Cheltenham – giving the runner-up Innatendue 7lbs. Walsh expects the flat track to suit and looks worth a dabble at a nice price.
Leopardstown Tips
- 2.20 Leopardstown: FACILE VEGA
Impressed on chase debut at Navan last month – beating the useful Inthepocket by just under 4 lengths. Willie Mullins has won the last three runnings of this and also six of the last eight. Expected to see off his three rivals here with ease and continue his progress to the big festivals at Leopardstown and Cheltenham.
