Liverpool are the talk of social media after their 3-2 defeat against top of the table Arsenal this afternoon.
Things didn’t start great for Liverpool at the Emirates. Gabriel Martinelli found himself through on goal in the opening minutes and slotted home nicely.

Liverpool were shell shocked but managed to get an equaliser through Darwin Núñez. But before the break, Arsenal broke ruthlessly and scored a second.

The game swung again when Liverpool equalised through substitute Roberto Firmino.
There was to be one more swing in the game. Arsenal attacked with threat throughout the second half, and were awarded a penalty after a tackle on Gabriel Jesus. Bukayo Saka stepped up and slotted home calmly to Arsenal back ahead.
Despite Liverpool pressure, Arsenal held out to claim all three points and return to the top
Liverpool Struggling To Get Into Form
It’s hard for any team to maintain form and style, even more so when it’s the style Liverpool play.
Their start to the season is the worst under Jürgen Klopp during his time with the club.

A big factor in their poor start is Mo Salah’s poor form this season. The Egyptian superstar has struggled to hit his high standards this season.
Reaction To Liverpool’s Defeat
Twitter went wild after the defeat, here are our favourites:
Liverpool their own worst enemies in terms of failing to clear but that's a joke of a decision from Michael Oliver. Can't believe VAR didn't tell him to look at it again.
