Raymond van Barneveld World Darts Championship Odds
Raymond van Barneveld’s 2023 hasn’t been as smooth as he would’ve hoped. His highlight came at the World Championship in January, reaching the last 32 and making the quarter-finals of the World Series of Darts Finals in September.
According to the best new UK betting sites, ‘Barney’ is an outsider at 200/1 to win this year’s tournament in North London – which would be his sixth world title and first since he took down Phil Taylor in 2007 at Circus Tavern in Essex.
Van Barneveld is one of the greatest darts players of all time. He’s one of three five-time World Champions and can’t seem to let the game go. At the age of 56, he’s flirted with retirement in the past but has always returned to the stage.
His best recent finish was reaching the quarter-finals in 2018, falling to defeat against Michael van Gerwen. Despite the unlikeliness of Van Barneveld making any sort of noise at Alexandra Palace, you simply can’t write him off.
