DOWNFORCE (system – Fast Company, soft or heavy going, Flat)
Since the beginning of 2016, backing all Fast Company progeny on the Flat when the ground was officially soft or heavy would have found 113 winners from 825 bets (13.6% strike-rate) for a profit of £53.38 to the usual £1 stake.
Fast Response, backed from 16-1 into 8-1 when scoring in Listed company at Doncaster, was Saturday’s only qualifier. There are four of them going today at Naas, including DOWNFORCE, a 14-1 winner on this angle at the Curragh last month.
FFOS LAS 2.15
ICAQUE DE L’ISLE (system – Richard Bandey, chasers)
Simply backing all Richard Bandey-trained chasers would have found 20 winners from 86 bets (23.3%) for a huge profit of £162.87 to a £1 level stake at SP. ICAQUE DE L’ISLE, one of two qualifiers at Ffos Las today, has joined the yard from France where he won a bumper and a chase for Emmanuel Clayeux and looks worth a speculative interest.

BRULURE NOIRE (system – Richard Bandey, chasers & chase debutants, top weight in handicap)
BRULURE NOIRE, the other Richard Bandey-trained chaser running today, qualifies as a bet for me on no less than six different angles today, including being a chase debutant who goes straight into handicap company under top weight rather than take the novice chase route. He attracted some support overnight but there’s still some juice in the general 7-1 and 15-2.
