Course experience is a key ingredient when it comes to finding chase winners at Chepstow and simply backing any runner who competed in another Chepstow chase on its latest start would have found 27 winners from 106 bets (since racing resumed after lockdown one in June 2020) for a profit of £49.48 to a £1 level stake at SP. The last-time out winners were 17 from 31 for a profit of £26.48 and THOR DE CERISY, successful in a small field and on heavy ground over course and distance last time, has his conditions again.

TANGENTAL (system – Fame And Glory, 8yo+)
Progeny of Fame And Glory take time to reach their peak and backing those aged eight, nine or ten (the sire’s oldest crop) would have found 76 winners from 595 bets (12.8%) for a profit of £79.59 to a £1 level stake at SP. TANGENTAL finished a solid fourth at Navan in January on his fist outing as an eight-year-old and it’s interesting to note that his record in March reads 1122 (2-4), with the first defeat by a head in a 14-runner handicap hurdle.
