Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Leopardstown and Newcastle (all-weather) for his two recommended bets/trades on Thursday, December 28th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
LEOPARDSTOWN 2.25
APPRECIATE IT has a clear preference for left-handed tracks, often jumping out to his left and hanging left-handed when racing in the other direction. His full record left-handed reads 1121117134 (6-10), including Leopardstown form figures of 11113 (4-5) with the sole defeat behind El Fabiolo over 2m1f on unsuitably fast ground at last season’s Dublin Racing Festival. He hasn’t raced in this direction since his four-and-a-half-length fourth to Stage Star at last season’s Cheltenham festival where his patient style was a big disadvantage and it’s worth taking a chance on his stamina in a cracking renewal of the Savills Chase. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back APPRECIATE IT in Leopardstown 1.50
NEWCASTLE 7.00
It’s hard to escape the claims of THE CALTONIAN in this 6f handicap and Linda Perratt’s four-year-old rates a buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market. He was desperately unlucky to Wolverhampton last time, going down by a short head after getting hampered on the inside rail just over one furlong out, a run that took his all-weather form figures to 11232 (2-5) with the third place by three-quarters of a length over an inadequate 5f trip. The son of Swiss Spirit looks well drawn in stall 11 and his patient running style will allow him to get cover from the forecast strong headwind.
Recommendation: Back THE CALTONIAN in Newcastle 7.00
