2. Artorious

Australian sprinter that dead-heated for third in this race 12 months ago and then filled the same spot in the July Cup at Newmarket. Never in contention sixth behind Highfield Princess in Prix Maurice de Gheest, but extended 6f Group 1 winner Down Under since. Close up fourth in George Ryder over further latest. 3. Art Power

Last four wins have come in Ireland, three at the Curragh, since landing the Palace Of Holyrood House over 5f at the Royal meeting in 2020. 4. Big Invasion

US sprinter with four Listed wins and a Group 3 victory under his belt across the Atlantic. 8. Khaadem

Fourth in this race three years ago, but withdrawn last season after not cooperating in the stalls. Group wins at Newmarket and Glorious Goodwood either side of that, but little signs of encouragement since. Must step up on running on third at Salisbury latest in much deeper waters.

Something of a 7f specialist who notched four-timer last summer and autumn with City Of York, Park Stakes, Foret and Champions Sprint wins before close third in Breeders’ Cup Mile latest. 10. Rohaan

Another Australian sprinter. Denied just a head in the Al Quoz Sprint on Dubai World Cup night before poor UK debut when seventh in the Duke Of York. Shaped better when runner-up in Group 3 John Of Gaunt at Haydock latest. Consistency an issue with him and plenty of other Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes runners.

13. Wellington

Hong Kong sprinter that has raced exclusively at Sha Tin but won many top prizes there. Placed on all four starts this year, but had previously been in much better form in 2022. Respected all the same.

14. Highfield Princess

Wonder-mare and unlucky second in the King’s Stand on opening day of the Royal meeting. Taken off a true line by Bradsell but not really going the pace to get there.
