PSG have reportedly entered the race to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund this week, as Manchester United’s priorities lay elsewhere right now.

The Atalanta striker has received transfer interest from all over the world this summer, including from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

While Manchester United have reportedly been leading the race to sign Hojlund so far in this window, it has been reported that Ligue 1 giants PSG have just entered the race for Atalanta’s young star.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season for his side in Italy last year, scoring nine goals and getting four assists in an impressive campaign for Atalanta.

With Kylian Mbappe’s controversial exit from PSG being at the forefront of the news recently, it is no surprise the Ligue 1 side are looking for their next future star with Mbappe expected to leave within the next year.

PSG could pounce on a move for Hojlund while United’s interests lay elsewhere this summer, as the Red Devils prioritise moves for players in other positions.

Erik Ten Hag is close to securing Andre Onana as a David De Gea replacement in this window, but the deal is still yet to be completed which is holding up any other transfers this summer.

United are expected to make an official bid for Hojlund once the Onana move is completed, but PSG may pounce on their hesitation to secure one of Europe’s hottest talents.

PSG are also looking to sign Harry Kane this summer, but it seems that move may be too difficult to complete with Spurs unwilling to let their captain leave and Bayern chasing the star with two huge bids already.
