Liverpool have just 11 games left to play in the 2023/24 Premier League season as they try to hold on to top spot in the league ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal.

Can Liverpool Hold On To 1st Place?

Liverpool are currently clinging on to top spot in the Premier League, with both Manchester City and Arsenal hunting down the Reds at the top of the table.

There are only 11 matches left to play in the league this season and only one point separates Jurgen Klopp’s side from Manchester City – with Arsenal able to close the gap on the top two if they win their game in hand against Sheffield United on Monday.

Liverpool won against Nottingham Forest in the dying seconds over the weekend as Darwin Nunez saved his side’s blushes deep into added time.

The Reds’ win against Forest was their fourth league victory in a row, but things are about to get much tougher for Liverpool towards the business end of the season.

Tough Run Of Fixtures For Liverpool

Liverpool’s fixtures in the next few weeks only get harder, with the Reds facing league leaders Manchester City next weekend in what could be a telling match in the title race.

Manchester City and Liverpool have only met once this season, with things ending all level between the sides when they faced off at the Etihad Stadium in November.

In their remaining 11 matches this campaign Liverpool still have to face Manchester United, Tottenham and Aston Villa in what could be a tricky run in.

The current league leaders also still have to play bitter rivals Everton this season, but after Liverpool’s successful FA Cup run the derby was postponed to a date that is yet to be confirmed.

Liverpool also have a European run to contend with as they remain in the Europa League at the last 16 stage – with a two leg tie against Sparta Prague taking place in the next two midweek fixtures.
