Paul Nicholls With Five Runners On Cheltenham Day 4
Paul Nicholls has been the top trainer on six previous occasions at the Cheltenham Festival. The British trainer has won ‘top trainer’ six times, firstly in 1999 before winning it four years on the spin from 2006-2009. The 60-year-old racing trainer will be hoping to replicate this form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
Nicholls has 46 winners to his name in the Cheltenham Festival over the years. This of course includes a magnificent four Gold Cup’s, three Ryanair Chases, six Queen Mother Champions Chases and four Stayers’ Hurdles to name but a few.
On Day 4, Paul Nicholls has five runners on Friday 17th March. These rides include the amazing Bravemansgame, who goes into the Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (3.30pm) as one of the betting favourites for the big one.

The four-time Gold Cup winner with See More Business, Kauto Star (x2) and Denman also has four more runners along with Bravemansgame on Day 4.
He certainly has a couple more each-way chances on Day 4 too at Cheltenham this year. These include Secret Investor and Cat Tiger who both contest the Hunter’s Chase (4.10pm) for Nicholls.
The British racing trainer also has some big priced hopefuls in the form of Stay Away Fay in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (2.50pm) and Irish Hill in the Jockey’s Handicap Hurdle (5.30pm).
Nicholls has a very slim chance of being ‘Top Trainer’ at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival (100/1), but still has a chance of a few winners on the fourth and final day at the biggest horse racing festival in the world.
