Paul Nicholls With Five Runners On Cheltenham Day 2
Paul Nicholls has been the top trainer on six previous occasions at the Cheltenham Festival. The British trainer has won ‘top trainer’ six times, firstly in 1999 before winning it four years on the spin from 2006-2009. The 60-year-old racing trainer will be hoping to replicate this form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
Nicholls has 46 winners to his name in the Cheltenham Festival over the years. This of course includes a magnificent four Gold Cup’s, three Ryanair Chases, six Queen Mother Champions Chases and four Stayers’ Hurdles to name but a few.
On Day 2, Paul Nicholls has five runners on Wednesday 15th March. These rides include Hermes Allen, who goes into the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle (1:3opm) as one of the betting favourites.

The four-time Gold Cup winner with See More Business, Kauto Star (x2) and Denman also has four more runners along with Hermes Allen on Day 2.
The English trainer has plenty of big chances throughout the Cheltenham Festival with the likes of Bravemansgasme in the Gold Cup, as well as a big shout here on Day 2 in the form of Hermes Allen. He certainly has a few more each-way chances on Day 2 too at Cheltenham this year.
Nicholls is also priced at 25/1 as the fifth favourite to be the 2023 Cheltenham Festival Top Trainer.
