The master of tennis, Novak Djokovic, has reached another Wimbledon quarter-final by seeing off Hubert Hurkacz over two days.
With Djokovic leading 2-0 after the pair took to centre court last night before play was stopped. Not many saw anything other than a win for Djokovic, but it wasn’t as straight forward as the 3-1 score suggests.
Hurkacz came out fighting this afternoon. The Polish player is ranked 17th, and he showed why he’s in the top 20. He’s known for his big serves and that was on display throughout the game.
Djokovic won both sets last night by tie-break and the third set this afternoon looked set to for a tie-break. However, Hurkacz was able to break Djokovic’s serve and seemed to have the number two ranked player rattled.
Despite losing the third set and still struggling with the power of the Hurkacz serve, Djokovic eventually managed to break the serve. That break settled the fourth set and Hurkacz looked a defeated man after seeing his serve broken.
The serve of Hurkacz was commented on by Djokovic after the game.
“He’s got one of the best serves in the world”

Djokovic was able to win the final set 4-6 to keep his ten-year unbeaten Wimbledon record alive.
The Serbian is expected to win yet another Wimbledon trophy this year as he continues to dominate the tennis world.
