Nicky Henderson With Three Runners On Cheltenham Day 4
Nicky Henderson has been the top trainer at the Cheltenham Festivals nine times in the past. He won his first ‘Top Trainer’ crown back in 1985 for the first time and has won it most recently in 2010 & 2012 respectively. The English racing trainer will be hoping to replicate this form with a stellar showing at the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.
The 72-year-old has 72 winners to his name in the Cheltenham Festival over the years, prior to this year’s Festival. This includes two Gold Cups, eight Champions Hurdles, seven Triumph Hurdles and five Supreme Novices’ Hurdles to name but a few.
On Day 4, Nicky Henderson has three runners on Friday 17th March. These rides are all huge prices in their respective races, so could potentially win punters big money on the last day of the 2023 Cheltenham Festival.

The 2011 & 2013 Gold Cup winner with Long Run and Bobs Worth respectively has three runners on Day 4. He has an outside chance in the County Handicap Hurdle (2.10pm) with First Street, who is currently priced at around 20/1 with the best horse racing betting sites.
His other two runners on the final day of Cheltenham both come in the Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle (5.30pm). Both are long shots, with No Ordinary Joe at around 33/1 and Impulsive One even bigger at 50/1.
The English trainer has won some of the big races this year, with Constitution Hill romping home in the Champion Hurdle being one of them. However, he doesn’t have an entry this year in the Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase.
Henderson is 16/1 to be the ‘Top Trainer’ this year for a tenth time which seems doubtful, but he has still had a relatively successful year at the Festival with some big winners in some massive races.
