West Ham forward Michail Antonio is reportedly considering switching the Premier League for the Saudi Pro League following reports of interest from Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq.

Michail Antonio could be the next in line for a big money move to Saudi Arabia, as Al-Ettifaq are reportedly interested in acquiring his services.

The Timesreport claims that the West Ham forward has held preliminary talks with the Saudi Pro League side managed by Steven Gerrard.

Al-Ettifaq have already offered a lucrative contract to Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson, with reports now claiming just a fee is required to complete the signing after the England international agreed terms with the club.

Antonio was linked with a Premier League move to newly-promoted Sheffield United earlier in the window, however no concrete talks have materialised as of yet.

At 33-years-old, and with just a year left on his contract at the London Stadium, Antonio’s career looks to be approaching its final chapter.

The Jamaican international may be looking for a fresh challenge before he draws his playing time to a close, therefore a Saudi move with one final big paycheck may be well suited to the forward.

West Ham may also be keen to part ways with Antonio this summer in order to gain a fee for his departure, rather than allowing him to leave on a free next summer.

Whether the Wandsworth-born striker ends up playing in England or Saudi Arabia next season though, his experience and prowess in front of goal could prove vital for whoever manages to secure his signature.
