Chelsea’s form this season has yet again left much to be desired yet again despite Mauricio Pochettino taking charge of the Blues at the beginning of the season. But how much is the Chelsea boss getting paid this season?
What Is Mauricio Pochettino’s Salary At Chelsea?
Mauricio Pochettino made the bold move to take over a sinking ship at Chelsea in the beginning of the season, with the manager putting pen to paper on a two year deal – and an option to extend for a third year if things go well.
The Argentine’s salary is reportedly £10.4m per season, which works out to be £200,000 a week according to CelebrityNetWorth.
Pochettino At Chelsea
Pochettino only took over at Chelsea in summer earlier this year, but just four months into the season and the manager’s job is already under threat after a difficult start to the year.
Chelsea invested heavily yet again in the summer transfer window, but spending a record breaking £450m ahead of the season really didn’t do the new Blues boss any favours heading in to the 2023/24 campaign.
The Argentine manager was left with a squad full of talented individuals coming into the year, but also a team that could barely function together.
Pochettino took just five points from his first six games in charge at Stamford Bridge, leaving the Blues sat 14th place in the Premier League going into game week seven.
However in the last few weeks Chelsea have been climbing the table, and they are now tenth in the league following impressive wins against Tottenham and Burnley, as well as a draw against Arsenal.
Pochettino’s Managerial Career Before Chelsea
Before taking charge of Chelsea at the beginning of the season, Pochettino took charge of a number of clubs, which included seven years of Premier League experience at both Tottenham and Southampton.
It was at Southampton where the 51-year-old really made a name for himself in management, as he led the Saints to their highest finish in the league cine 2003 in his only year in charge – as well as a record points tally for the club in the Premier League era.
His excellent year at Southampton earned Pochettino a move to Tottenham in the summer, where the manager would stay in charge for the next five years.
Pochettino failed to end Tottenham’s trophy drought during his time at the club, despite reaching the Champions League final in 2019 when his side lost to Liverpool.
After leaving Spurs, Pochettino briefly managed PSG for two seasons, but he parted ways with the club in 2022 after winning just one Ligue 1 title during his time in charge.

Pochettino Player Career
Pochettino’s player career was never as successful as his time in management, with the former centre back winning just two Spanish Cups during his time as a professional.
The Argentine kicked off his career in his home country for Newell’s Old Boys, where he played for six years before making the move to Spain to play for Espanol in La Liga.
It was at Espanol that Pochettino earned his name as a player, enjoying seven years in La Liga before eventually moving to France to play for Paris Saint Germain.
Pochettino transferred away from PSG after just two years with a loan move to Bordeaux, before he made the return to the club that gave him his success in Espanol which is where he retired in 2006.
