Marcelo Brozovic is set to become the latest European star to make the move to Saudi Arabia this summer, with a medical at Al Nassr planned for this afternoon.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic it set to have his medical in the coming hours, after the news broke last night that Inter had accepted a deal with Al Nassr.

The deal bringing Brozovic to the Middle East is reportedly worth around €23m, with a fee being agreed last week between the sides.

There was speculation that Barcelona could hijack the Al Nassr deal this week, with Xavi keen on signing the Croatian workhorse as a Sergio Busquets replacement.

However Fabrizio Romano broke the news on Thursday night that Brozovic had chosen Al Nassr, as well as the €38m/ year contract the 30-year-old will sign.

Brozovic played 40 matches for Inter in all competitions last season, scoring three goals and providing six assists in another consistent season for the veteran.

Inter were unfortunate to meet treble winning Manchester City in the Champions League final last season, as they finished runners up in Europe’s most elite competition after an exciting campaign.

Brozovic is set to become the latest of many stars to make the switch to Saudi Arabia, with the move becoming more and more popular after Cristiano Ronaldo first made the move earlier this year.

The 30-year-old will link up with Ronaldo at Al Nassr next season, as well as former Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech who is also close to signing for the side.

Inter teammate Romelu Lukaku was also offered a big money move to Saudi Arabia this summer, but the Belgian has rejected any deal in the hopes of continuing to play European football in Italy.
