Manchester United have reportedly rejected an offer from Borussia Dortmund to take Jadon Sancho back to the club on loan just two years after selling him.

United Reject Dortmund Loan Offer For Sancho

Sancho joined the Red Devils from Dortmund in July 2021 for a mammoth fee of £73m, but the winger has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford.

According to reports, United do not want to let Sancho leave on loan, but are open to allowing him to leave on a permanent basis and could be sold for £45m.

Previously a product of Manchester City’s academy, Sancho then signed for Dortmund in 2017 and impressed in the Bundesliga scoring 50 goals for the club in 137 games.

He hasn’t had the same impact upon his return to England and has only scored 12 times in 79 appearances for United.

His inconsistency on the field has even led to him losing his place in the England squad. Sancho has not played for the national team since October 2021 and will be eager to get back into the fold.

Erik ten Hag is wanting to generate more funds to spend on incomings, so Sancho could certainly leave permanently this summer. Harry Maguire and Fred are also two that could be sold to bring in some extra cash.

Brazilian winger Antony is Ten Hag’s usual first choice on the right, and now United have signed Mason Mount for £60m, Sancho’s playing time could be limited even more.
