In the latest Manchester United transfer news, the Red Devils are reportedly interested in making a move for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves amid his rumoured exit this summer.

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves this summer.

The midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Molineux for several months, with Barcelona and Liverpool being the most interested parties.

Barcelona are said to be in the driving seat for the midfielder’s signature. Now though, according to Spanish outlet Sport, the Red Devils are interested in the Portuguese midfielder.

Sport’s report claims that United will only make a move if it becomes clear that the 26-year-old is leaving Wolves this summer.

It is also claimed however, that Neves’ preferred destination is Barcelona, and he is prepared to reject United’s advances in order to secure a move to the Nou Camp.

Neves himself has confirmed that he wants to play Champions League football, making a Wolves exit look incredibly likely.

“I will never hide that I want to play Champions League football.” Neves said after Wolves’ draw versus Everton on Saturday.

“It’s a hard decision to make because I feel at home here, me and my family.”

Neves has enjoyed another strong season with Wolves despite the club flirting with relegation for large parts of the campaign.

The midfielder has amassed 39 appearances in all competitions for the Midlands club, as their Premier League status remains in-tact for another season.

Within those appearances, he has scored six goals and has assisted once.

Barcelona are the clear favourites in the race to sign the former Porto man, priced at 1/3 to secure his signature by UK betting sites.

Liverpool are the second favourites at 5/1, whilst Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal are all in the running too.
