In the latest Manchester City transfer news, the Citizens have reportedly identified Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as an alternative to Jude Bellingham ahead of the summer transfer window.

Manchester City Transfer News

Premier League table-toppers Manchester City have reportedly identified Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as an alternative to Real Madrid-bound Jude Bellingham.

The report comes from The Mirror, who say that City will consider a move for the Dutchman should Bellingham’s move to Madrid be completed.

Pep Guardiola holds a strong interest in Bellingham, but with his move to the Spanish capital looking all but confirmed, and with Ilkay Gundogan‘s impending departure – a midfield signing will surely be required in the summer.

Kalvin Phillips is also believed to be nearing an Etihad exit following a terrible debut campaign after signing from Leeds in the summer.

Gravenberch is said to be on the list of suitable candidates for a spot in the City midfield, but it won’t be without competition.

Liverpool and Arsenal have both previously been reported to hold an interest in the former Ajax midfielder.

It has been far from a dream debut season at the Allianz Arena for Gravenberch.

Despite making 20 Bundesliga appearances this term, just one has come as a start.

Speaking in April, he revealed his frustration at the Bavarian club.

“Training and playing at the top level for a year is beautiful and instructive. Although playing, it is mainly training,” he told the Dutch media.

“That has to change next season, then I really want to play weekly again. I haven’t spoken to the club management yet, so just wait and see what happens. But it is clear that this role does not match my expectations.”
